That’s the behavior I’ve seen too. Generally I know better and will refresh a stale tab before typing, but sometimes I’ll pause in the middle of a long response, and come back to finish it later, only to have the entire thing vaporize when I try to save it. Especially annoying since it happens mainly on the longer and more complex thoughts.
I should copy the whole thing to a temporary text window just before saving, but do I always remember to, or think it’s been long enough to need to? Sadly no.
“Failed to Save Record” suggests it is an iNat thing and not a Browser thing. Some kind of indication that it can’t save (maybe just graying out the Save button) would be a huge time and aggravation saver. Or at least a pop-up message that doesn’t also close the stale text window at the same time.
