As far as curators go, I am a rookie, and I can’t access the edit taxa page for State of Life. There should be a simple command to change the common name for the taxa in different languages, as is outlined here: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/how-to-add-a-common-name-to-a-taxon/9792. I think there are special parameters for the State of Life taxa that make it’s taxa page different, there may be unintended consequences of changing its parameters. I’m not knee deep in the code, however, so I wouldn’t know.
