I’ve noticed that several taxa have been flagged because there were many observations misidentified as that taxa. Is that a proper reason to be flagging taxa? Should I leave them unresolved or resolve them?

Curators often tag taxa that have inordinately high numbers of misidentification from over-enthusiastic AI suggestions.
The flag helps keep the issue alive until we make an effort to identify enough correctly that the next time the learning algorithms are run, it is with correctly identified photos.
I probably wouldn’t close them.

There are also users who make such flags that seem to think curators (or staff) can do something special to fix it. Anyone can add the necessary IDs.
