Help me to create a place :)

Hi Everyone. I am creating a project for my university. Where I want students to become more aware of the biodiversity we have on campus. However when I am creating the project, my university is not recognize as a place yet. In oder to create a place I need to have 50 verified publications, but I don’t have them yet. I was wondering if someone with 50 verified publications, can help me. I would really appreciate it.
Location: Centenary University, Hackettstown, New Jersey, 07840.
Thank you :)

the best recommendation here would be to upload the 50 observations as required. You can take a walk around the university, or the area where you live, and take photos of eg 50 different weeds you encounter (doesn’t matter if it’s the same few species that you encounter). If you have photos on your phone/camera you have taken in the past, you can also upload those

is this something you are able to do?

Nice idea for a project, but I agree with thebeachcomber that doing the 50 observations is a great way to get more familiar with iNaturalist and shouldn’t take you long. They do NOT have to be “verified,” just verifiable. IF they are on the campus, they will automatically be in the project once you create it. Once you meet the criteria, if you have issues creating the place for the project, we’ll help.

I agree with the others.

It’s really important to familiarize yourself with the site, how it works, general protocols regarding use, good and bad behavior on the site, how projects work, posting, identifying, etc before starting making places, starting projects, etc.

Do you use a different name on iNat itself?
I see no profile for you - so no obs at all. No IDs.
