Is there a way to set up a project for an area to see only the critters that come out at night? I was just trying to do it for my town and I wanted to set it up to see animals that were documented between 9pm and 5am. Any ideas?

You probably should create a traditional account, time frame can be only done once for bioblitz projects, so it’s not possible to make just night project automatical.

Using the API it looks like you can filter start and end times within the day for observations: https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/api+reference Of course, that relies on people having the date/time set correctly on their devices, which is often not the case when taking with a camera (vs phone). I…
