ID/Compare modal not honoring Scientific Name(Common Name) Preference

In this sort of context – and I don’t know if this wouldn’t be better in a different thread:

I have scientific names set to display first, which works as expected:

But it doesn’t work in the ID modal:

I guess I never really noticed this before, but with three languages it’s now much harder to see what’s going on at a glance.

I think there’s a lot of similar issues, but I don’t know if they’re related. Such as:

Identify and Observation Detail pages are written in React and are newer than the dashboard, which is written in older and different code.

I know we had to put in a little extra effort to get multiple common names to work on the dashboard, I suspect the problem is more similar to that than to what @schoenitz is reporting.
