Description of problem: In my account settings, I’ve selected to show scientific names first. However, in the taxonomy section of the Suggestions tab / Compare tool, common names are displayed first.
I think it would be a great option to have the scientific name first, especially for non-english speakers. The first choice being the common name can be confusing. For exemple, I used the French word chardons to id, not realizing it does not translate at all in English as thistles and allies.

This is an option in your account settings. The bug report is saying that if you choose that option, it’s not reflected in certain parts of the site.
