Step 5: In this screenshot, for example, redii’s ID’s is said to be a disagreement with lorax55’s ID of the plant as a dicot. But is it really a disagreement? Dicot is a more general classification than austral sarsaparilla, and while not all dicots are austral sarsasparilla, aren’t all austral sarsaparilla dicots? So why is redii’s ID of the plant as a dicot said to be a disagreement with lorax55’s ID of the plant as a dicot? I think a disagreement would be if, for example, someone else would classify the plant as a monocot – in that case there would be a disagremeent with the “dicot” classification.

Smilax is one of the weird, broad-leaved monocots (Liliopsida), so there really is taxonomic disagreement in this case.
