I'm missing from the global leaderboard (observers by species)

Although not so important, it’s always interesting to see how many biodiversity I’ve documented compared to others on iNat.

I have uploaded observations of 3069 taxa (identified to species or further) so I should be around #344 ish in this leaderboard (click ‘‘species’’ to see it by the number of species observed - unrelated but stuff identified to just genus for example is excluded from this count because of algorism reasons).

However, I can’t find my username here. However my name shows up (as it should) when I limit the geographical area to New Zealand for example.

Is this a common issue?
I would like to know if there’s anyone else with the same issue and if there’s a way to fix this.

i think this is the same problem descrbed in https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/user-with-many-species-is-excluded-from-stats-if-not-within-top-200-observers-in-traditional-project/42912

Yes, to my knowledge the global Explore leaderboard sorted by number of species observed does not show the top 500 observers with most species; it shows the top 500 observers by most observations, ordered by their number of species

That explains everything, thank you so much!
