Hey - your identifications are at 74744, @jasonhernandez74
I made it into the Top Identifiers of Hares and Rabbits!
However I don’t understand why it says 5001 IDs. I have only IDed 4,980 Hares and Rabbits that have reached RG. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?ident_user_id=teakettle_wren&quality_grade=research&taxon_id=43095
It is - including where you IDed at a broader taxon and the CID went to Hares and Rabbits - or that is the version I remember. (From many Forum posts asking, why, don’t the numbers match) Leaf taxa versus simply taxa - in iNat’s jargon.
The URL I posted searches based on CID, not on what my ID was. The following link pulls up any observation that I have added an ID to that has a CID within the Family Leporidae.

I skimmed over those posts in the forum before my comment about the disparity but they seemed to be talking about the #1 spot on the taxa page versus what you see when you click on Leaderboard right under that. I know that number is larger because it takes into account when I have added an ID of that taxon, not what the CID is. That’s why if you go to the Swamp Rabbit taxon page it says 1,541 next to my name, but when you click on Leaderboard it says 1,179.
The top 10 on the observation page are different than both of those. If I cared that much about it, I would make a topic for it. I shouldn’t have brought it up.
I have observed the most species on iNat in the 4th largest US county (Elko County, NV)
I am in NE Nevada for a summer field job, most of my time is spent in Elko county
I have gotten 481 sps in 66 days (~7.3 sps/d) with 10 more weeks out here can’t wait to see what else I find
and there’s a whole backlog of my observations that I need to key out, so I could probably get it to 500 without going back out
But where’s the fun in that?
I have enjoyed my scuba diving day on the 1st of July, and it brought me a cool number of 96 obs on that day!
Here’s my update on the numbers, and I got myself a cool profile picture from the dive! I wanted to get a cool photo of myself for the profile for a long tine, and now I have it!
Mission complete! Even though I have 40k IDs since April or something like that
On my way to 900 species and, hopefully, 1000 by the end of the year! Aiming for 50k IDs as well.
And, yay! 20 followers!
A post was split to a new topic: Which profile picture is best?
So this is small versus all of your guys’ numbers, but I have officially made 106 observations and 170 identifications!
We all started thereabouts!
Congratulations!! We’ll be watching for your next numbers!
Looking forward to your next numbers!
I had a personal goal of 50000 IDs this year. Just hit that today. Looking forward to 5 1/2 relaxed months. (I’ll keep IDing, but probably a bit less.)
Congratulation on having more IDs than observations. That’s the way it should be. I haven’t even managed to have half as many IDs and due to my streak I make new observations every day (sigh)
I recently topped 26,000 observations and 7,100 species! My observations are mainly moths plus a few butterflies (12,084) and vascular plants (9,860). I have lots more plant photos to unearth from an old photo library - maybe I’ll get to those this winter…
Many thanks to the 2,171 identifiers who helped with IDs and the curators and annotators for all their work!
I just hit 20k ids since I started in febuary, which im pretty happy abt
Finally got 1000 species/leaf taxa of vascular plants in Europe, feels like a major milestone (as I currently live in a comparatively species-poor area) and yet like only the beginning of a lifelong journey. One of my bucket list items is now to see 10k vascular plant species on my home continent during my lifetime.
