At some point during CNC I crossed the 100,000 ID’s mark! I wasn’t keeping track of my ID count during my recent spree, so I’m about 2,000 ID’s over that now. Oops!

I just realized that I already reached the first of my all-yearly goals - 40.000 IDs

I never reached it that early in the year and some years I even didn’t

Just hit 10,000 observations!

A joint achievement rather than an individual milestone, but today, the RG for Australian Loranthaceae nudged past 90% for the first time.

Wanted to share some statistics I’m proud of! Heavy identification of my primary genus Populus was something I picked up about two years ago. Since then:

I have identified 20% of the total 60K research grade P. tremuloides. There are 8800ish left, right now. I’m hoping to drop that by half, plus the yearly summer observations!

25% of the 17k P. grandidentata. Just under 4k Left, hope to finish that this year!

15% of the 8.5k P. balsamifera. There’s almost that many needing identification still, so I plan to tackle that if I get time!

Among other species, that puts me around a 16% contribution to the 150k~ genus Populus observations!

Another little bit is that I started playing with a method for annotating quickly, and was able to hit 1400!

I set up macros, and I have a mouse with many buttons, on it. So I can basically annotate with just my thumb.

(Verifiable observations only. When I realized I was getting close to both milestones, I fudged a bit and refrained from uploading some familiar species to get the numbers to sync up, if only briefly.)

I now have over three times as many IDs as observations. And I’m not unhappy about the annotations number, either.
