iNat Milestones

I passed 20k observations (nearly half from my home - 9500) and 29k annotations and a few away from 5k species

5M identifications for CNC 2025:

That is impressive, considering the residue of the residue gets harder and harder to move past another 9%^& not so blooming dicot. I still have a little winter rainfall (cleared!), some rest of South Africa, and then the rest of Africa to work thru - for 2026.

2025 still has half a million Casual obs - so we do not battle that in 2026.

That is simply extraordinary - thank you!

1000+ Species, and almost 3000 observations!

wooo 20k IDs
i figured my annotations would be higher at this point, i guess i’m not as consistent as i thought!

Of my 200+K IDs a quarter are here

I missed the milestone but :tada::confetti_ball::piñata:

My annotation count used to be very low compared to my identifications, but now that I’m using @megachile’s metadata tool, the number is shooting off like a rocket. I kept passing up milestones without noticing so I guess I’m going to wait until I hit 100,000 annotations to post it here.

It’s a truly superb tool. I just used it to add fields to several thousand observations, allowing me to map the distribution of what I believe is an undescribed plant species.

That’s funny!
