I don’t always use the annotations, but recently I was identifying an observation in which someone had checked the “sex cannot be determined” box, for a species that not only can it be determined but it was obvious in that case. I checked disagree and commented what it was, but I was curious, does the original person who checked the box have to remove it, or does it take enough people disagreeing to have it reset, so that the sex can be annotated?

The original person would have to remove it. But there’s a feature request to change that.

The link to the observation in question with “erroneous sex annotation” helped to outweigh and correct it. Please do use links in likewise cases, thanks in advance.
