Incorrect list of place's species

Hi everyone,

I have created a place to follow the observations made in my French commune:
https://www.inaturalist.org/places/saint-pierre-des-nids
I wanted to look at the list of amphibians in my commune, and I don’t understand why this page only lists 2 species:
https://www.inaturalist.org/places/saint-pierre-des-nids#taxon=20978

It seems that only the Urodeles (Order Caudata) are listed, not the Anurans (Order Anura).

Here is the list of species present in my commune:
Amphibians of Saint-Pierre-des-Nids

Is this a bug (and I’ll open a message in the dedicated section), or do you have a logical explanation?

Thank you for your feedback

Sylvain M.

Bonjour Sylvain,

I have manually triggered a checklist refresh.
The missing species are now visible.
We will investigate why it failed before.

Regards,
Sylvain

Thank you very much @sylvainmorin :+1:

In case you also have a hand on this point, when you do a search for “saint-pierre-des-nids” from the observations page, the search uses the spatial extent of the commune (bbox), not the precise perimeter.
However, for other places, the precise perimeter is used.

The Location box on the Explore page uses a list of locations from Google, which are often different than the iNat places. You can select iNat places instead by clicking the Filters button and entering the name in the Place field.

You can read more details here: https://help.inaturalist.org/en/support/solutions/articles/151000141008-how-to-use-location-search-on-the-explore-page

Thank you very much, @rupertclayton :grinning:
I’d never spotted that search box before: great!
