I have similar issue with the city I live in Poland (my topic https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/incorrect-border-for-cities-in-silesia-poland/64908 ) and it turns out, that what we need is update of automatically created places with newer GADM maps which are far better than te one used currently on iNat.
