I have seen comments in the forum to this end - it may be a data issue? Not sure, but I have seen some folks say they have trouble in remote areas with the newer app and end up using the original app.

iNat needs to offer a lite version ? Or - only load that bit when I click on it. For example the map for each obs - I don’t always need ALL the info and ALL the dots NOW!

Sorry for late reply, the new app does not load or if it does I am unable to upload observations. My iPhone is up to date perhaps too old?

I just used the app in an area with no or little mobile coverage yesterday, both with airplane mode on or off and it worked fine to make observations. Only issue is that common names aren’t always shown in the app, but there’s not much that can be down about that. Are you saying the app won’t open …
