Hello, everyone!
I have a middle school student interested in dragonfly predation behavior. They’ve already created an ethogram to track the different behaviors that dragonflies tend to exhibit when hunting and actively feeding. There’s one problem…finding videos to analyze!
There seems to be a dearth of searchable dragonfly predation videos on the Internet. They’ve searched far and wide and only come up with two.
My student and I would be so grateful for links to videos you know or have created that depict wild dragonfly feeding behavior! Any help would be much appreciated.

There’s a video about dragonfly predation here on YouTube. I think I know of another one. I’ll have to do some searching.

See if you can find out how to contact entomologist Jessica Ware from this video. It has something on their predatory habits.

There’s a really good video here: Do you have access to Hoopla? I get it through our local libraries. Then, you need to look for BingePasses and Curiosity Stream. It’s a program in Curiosity Stream that should be easy to find. Search for “Dragons and Damsels”. I don’t know how else to access Curiosity Stream videos. Note that I added the pink arrow to the screenshot.
You can also go to YouTube and search for “dragonfly hunting”. I got a lot of results.

Thank you! They’re especially interested in unedited footage so they can analyze the predatory pattern. We’ve looked at those two YouTube videos for more information already, so we’ll check out Hoopla and see what we can find!
