The existence of a button labelled “agree” is not intended to be a request that you agree with previous identifications. It is meant as a shortcut to allow you to select the ID without typing it out. (Though I can see how the button could be interpreted as an instruction. If this interpretation is common, it might explain some common patterns in site use…)
It looks like your observations have been entered using the website, so I think maybe you are talking about the “updates” tab on your dashboard? I’m not sure if it is intended behavior that the “agree” button is displayed on dashboard notifications even when the new ID is the same as your ID (this is not consistent with how the button is displayed in other contexts).
Yes indeed, I am talking about the ‘updates’ tab on my dashboard. That’s where the request/instruction to ‘agree’ appears, in the event that someone suggests another ID. When I click on the actual observation, the ‘agree’ button has already disappeared, that is, if I clicked that on a previous occasion.
I’m new to this forum, when I started typing my response, I got a message that the issue has been resolved, even though I hadn’t responded yet. I’m happy to try and provide a screen shot, will do so in the next few days.
