The identity on some of my past observations has been changed from English to French. I tried to ID the post again, back to the English name, but it came up in French. I went to setting (as suggested in Help function) and re-entered English as my preferred language and saved it again. But those same IDs were still in French. How do I fix that? and why is it happening to previous posts that were done in English?
I think this may be related to similar bug reports ( like https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/multiple-languages/75760 ) where iNat is getting confused about which common names to use when you’re in a country with multiple languages spoken.
Sounds similar to this:

My understanding is that identifications are always linked to the species (basically, the Latin binomial name), but, depending on your settings, a common name in English, French, or another spoken language might be displayed in UI. So the problem you’re seeing isn’t related to the identification, but in the choice of which name to display, and I don’t think that’s related to which common name you chose when you identified the observation.
