Missing taxon for Dactylorhiza x wintoni

Hello,

I’m not absolutely sure this qualifies as a bug, so please accept my apologies if that’s not the case.

I have an hybrid of orchid: Dactylorhiza incarnata x praetermissa, known as Dactylorhiza x wintoni
It is quite common, but I can’t find it in the species list.
a search returns × dactylodenia wintonii which is wrong (and has no observations)

It is an accepted name: https://species.nbnatlas.org/species/NBNSYS0000161549
Thanks

There is https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/1366088---dactylodenia-wintonii

and Dactylorhiza × wintonii (Druce) Soó is actually a synonym of × Dactylodenia wintonii (Druce) Peitz according to POWO.

When saying something is an accepted name it is always also necessary to add by whom it is accepted because different authors accept different taxonomies. POWO is most often the authoritative source for iNaturalist.

If you would like a specific taxon added to iNat, you can sometimes import it yourself (if available via authorities/sources iNat uses) or raise a flag on the taxon in question on iNaturalist itself and ask curators to add the taxon there. You can provide supporting info in the flag. The forum itself isn’t for requests like this, so I’ll close this thread.
