Muting a forum category

One can mute users here, but is there any way to wholesale block/mute categories? Specifically the “nature talk” category? Or at least filter against the “what’s your favorite X” topics?

I moved this to its own topic - to mute a forum category, you should be able to head to the category main page then click the bell on the top and choose “Muted”.

I don’t want to create a new topic for that, but when muting a user of forum, their messages and topic still show as (1) notiification on the main page, isn’t the point of muting to not see them? It forces me to open them each time to get rid of that notification.

I’m not sure what that means without more information, but please do start a separate topic for different subjects. (anonymize any information such as the username/profile pic/topic title in screenshots)

If you’re experiencing a bug with the forum software it may need to be reported it at meta.discourse.org

Who would have thought it wasn’t useless/unconstructive. Thank you.

What about topics like: “What’s your favorite category of topics to mute?”

“Who is your favorite New Mexican on the forum?”

The question here has been answered, so I’m going to close the topic.
