One of my favourite web comics is,

I often share these with my son. When I emailed him this week’s strip, the subject line that was injected automatically read:

“Thinking about stuff? No, society is fine how it is, we just need to do engineering to make things more efficient” - guy in the middle of a mass extiction event

Yeah, it can be dark, but sometimes you need to learn how to laugh in the darkness.

And that’s certainly true about the act of being part of contemporary nature studies.
