Nobody answered my earlier question: can the advanced tutorial be done without doing the new user tutorial?
Yes. Check out the profile of the fourteenth user on this forum to earn the Licensed badge. That user did so without first earning the Certified badge.
Well, something went wrong. My subject line was “Advanced User Tutorial,” and the Discobot gave me the New User Tutorial.

To start the Advanced User Tutorial, I typed:
@discobot start advanced tutorial
Well, that wasn’t explained in English, and now I can’t get rid of the first badge! 
Well you can do the advanced tutorial, and have two badges!
I did, and I do, but that’s not the point!
Okay.
Maybe you can get a Moderator to remove it, though I’m not sure it’s possible.
