Hi. I’m using the website version of iNat on an iMac running Mojave 10.14.6. The browser is Firefox.
As I drag photos over from Photo to iNat Upload, “loading metadata” briefly flashes for all photos but no date or location is usually posted. Occasionally, metadata (date, location) will load for a particular photo but rarely.
Here’s a screenshot showing several photos, each uploaded separately/sequentially. Metadata only came across on two of them.
I’m having a similar problem, though not quite the same. I spend a lot of time adding keywords to photos, including species name. Sometimes they get recognized and sometimes they don’t. Seems they are being recognized less of late. Anyone know why this might be? In this case, the warthog and several other animals didn’t work, though the hippo did.
Date, Location, and Notes seem to always work for me.
