My intro to leafminers was way back when I became an enthusiastic flower gardener. Since that time, over 40 years ago, I’ve always associated leafminers with columbines. The delicate designs enhance the appearance of the leaves. That’s all I knew about the miners - now I’m motivated to learn more.

The more native species, the more holes and mines you’ll see in the leaves, and that’s a good thing.
