Observations by suspended users should indicate the user is suspended

Is there a way to perhaps distinguish those suspended for persistent observation problems like what happened during the CNC, vs. other issues?

User is Suspended - would only be intended for permanent suspension.

From what I have learned recently there is no way to temporarily suspend someone. What they do is suspend someone and then after an amount of time un-suspend them. This happened to the person who I mentioned earlier that I did a lot of IDs for. I know them personally. I thoroughly chewed them out once they admitted the behavior that got them suspended, so hopefully it will never happen again.

As I understand it, it’s permanent so long as the suspender never unsuspends them. This happened recently with a curator who accidentally forgot to unsuspend someone (sorry to that curator for bringing this back up, you just happen to be a useful example here) and the person was in purgatory for longer than originally planned.

Sounds like possibly we are talking about the same person

Hehehe oops. Maybe :joy:

Yes, let’s please avoid bringing up or speculating about individual instances of suspension.

Unfortunately there is not currently a way to set a suspension “timer,” or for non-curators to see reasons for suspension. There is a 2023 development issue for a feature to do this, last updated in April 2025, so it still appears to be on the radar to implement at some point.

Still today 4% RG 74% Casual. Most obs and most sp are both - This User is Suspended. Another year, another CNC.
