Observations not reindexed after taxon geoprivacy changed from obscured to open

Hi, I’m having a problem with the following species, Gomphrena pulchella . When I try to view the map, all the observations appear darkened because someone added a conservation status indicating that it is endangered.
The issue is that this conservation status only applies to a few locations in Brazil, and, for example, in Argentina, there is no data suggesting that the species is endangered. I tried assigning a location to the conservation status and making the location visible, but even so, the species still appears darkened across the entire network. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? This should be considered a bug?

Can you share a screenshot of what you mean by darkened? And the URLs of pages where you are encountering the issue?

i think gonsaro tried to change the taxon geoprivacy to open from obscured, but observations are still taxon obscured. so i assume the questions are why they are still obscured? and how to unobscure the properly?

A few hours ago the geoprivacy of this species appeared obscured in Argentina because of this status conservation which I edited so it includes only Brasil.

As you can see, all observation keep showing obscured

and as you can see when I look at any observation it say the taxa is endangered

Looks like the status changed but observations haven’t been reindexed. If I force a reindex (eg vote in the DQA then remove my vote) and refresh the observation page, it’s open now.

I’ll make a report for our developers to take a look at.

FYI, this species may continue to show as Threatened in Argentina if any observations from Brazil are near to the border. https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/what-counts-as-threatened/60744/9

Yes, no problem with that. I edited the conservation status to show locations but nonetheless the are no records near the border with Brasil for this sp.

Thanks!

Looks like the job that was set to reindex the observations was just delayed. The observations appear to have the proper geoprivacy now.
