Is it acceptable to post observations of animal sign? Example: antlers, bird’s nests, tracks, bones, feathers, etc. without a photo of the animal itself?

Yes. In fact, some of those have their own “evidence of precsence” annotations, such as “track,” “bone,” and “scat.” Bird’s nests would be annotated as “construction.”
There is also a project specifically for found feathers.
