I’m just curious how many others are out there that go to take make an observation and when they open the camera it is in selfie mode? It usually makes me smile as I think, “huh…this is the perspective from the observations point of view”. I have almost made it a personal rule to go ahead and snap the selfie as I am in my “happy place” when making observations and that’s worth a capture. Feel free to share stories or a selfie from the observations perspective if you like. Also, what would be a unique name for such a selfie?

Usually what happens is I’m trying to zoom in on a small or distant subject and my fat-fingering is interpreted as flipping the camera into selfie mode.
That’s a more joyful response to this annoyance than the one I usually manage to muster, which is along the lines of “#$%&! Now I lost the perfect shot!”
