I am working with a park manager to create a species list from an iNat project. I know how to generate a species list via the export function, but the species are listed in random order. The project is so large that organizing the data by hand would take a lot of work. It would be helpful if iNat would add an option to organize exported lists by taxon.

once you have it exported, you can go to the spreadsheet of your choice and sort in any order you choose! All you have to remember is to ensure the fields/values you want it sorted on are exported along with the data you want… for example, if you don’t need family in your result but would like it sorted by family then genus then species, make sure you include family as an export field so that you can sort on it!
