Oversaturated, unnatural iPhone color

I have been using the iNaturalist app. Do you think that makes a difference?

The camera app in iNaturalist does not have the creative controls of the native iPhone camera app. There are number of things you can do in the iPhone camera app before you take a photo to adjust the image to your liking. You can also preserve those settings from photo to photo.

Also the camera controls in Settings don’t appear to be used by the iNaturalist camera. Turning View Outside the Frame on or off, for example, does not affect the iNaturalist camera. So I’m pretty sure the iNaturalist camera is not using Deep Fusion or Smart HDR.

I like having the controls of the iPhone camera app, but other than that, in most conditions they both capture good quality images. The iPhone camera app might help you with your saturation issues.
