Pacific trapdoor spider (antrodiaetus pacificus)

Has anyone seen one of these, whats there habitat?

You can check observations on the map for that. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?taxon_id=199276

Ive seen one before, It was in my backyard. I’d describe the habitat as coastal temperate woodland.

Back when I lived in the San Diego area, I used to find their burrows on very sunny, mostly bare slopes, within Chaparral habitat.

But you have to get used to spotting the “lid” of the burrow, which is not easy to do.
