Many Cotoneasters have wrong ID. In fact often even the subgenus is not right. E.g. Many so called Cotoneaster horizontalis show species of the subgenus chaenopetalum. So, it would be handy to have both subgenera
Welcome to the forum! This is a good thing to put on a taxon flag. You can do this from the taxon page by selecting Curation —> Flag for Curation. This will bring this to the attention of curators who can take a look and hopefully fix things! Just so you know, we use POWO as an external reference for plants so it’s helpful to check the taxonomy there first.
