I wrote a new project journal entry. And I wonder why I later got a notification about that myself - why that ? - seems superfluous.
More interesting would be to know, if the other project members get an info automatically ?

You get the notification to confirm the Journal entry was published and that the news notification has been sent to all members who have joined the project. I’ve asked, and other members do see these. Essentially, you are the creator, but also a member so under those rules you get the note also.
A caveat is that a) when someone joins a project they can choose to opt out of being notified about new project journal posts and b) some people opt out of email notifications.
