I’m going through a large number of uploads from a recent vacation in Panamá but for some technical reasons I find that uploading my observations from the iPhone (Photos and the iOS app) is easier in reverse chronological order. So let’s say I upload species A on one date which is a “new” life list species, but then later upload one or more observations of the same species from an earlier date. Is iNat’s life list compilation (e.g. on my calendar) smart enough to replace and keep adjusting first dates as I encounter and upload earlier observations?

Calendar uses your oldest observation date rather than oldest upload date. So, this observation is my first Ragwort according to calendar because I observed it in 2017 and uploaded it in 2023, even though I uploaded this ragwort a year earlier.
