Is this url the best option for looking for observations where the geo location is set to private? https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?geoprivacy=private&place_id=any&subview=table
I think so. However, your URL only includes “verifiable” observations (i.e. it excludes captive/cultivated observations). If you want to include those as well, I suppose you could use this URL: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?geoprivacy=private&place_id=any&subview=table&verifiable=any with the parameter verifiable=any
.
Thanks. We had a good one hiding out in Private last night that unfortunately would have been found several months ago if it hadn’t been private.
there are some cases where geoprivacy is driven by the taxon setup. to find those, you’d have to do a separate query for https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?taxon_geoprivacy=private&place_id=any&subview=table. (there currently is not a way to search for (both) taxon_geoprivacy=private
or geoprivacy=private
together.)
thanks.
