It’s not a bug, location access only works on the website.
If using the browser on your mobile device, you can tap on “Details” under the map of the observation, then scroll down on the pop-up and open the locaiton in either Google Maps or Open Street Map:
I’ve found that to be pretty helpful for navigating to a locaiton.
