Last night I did a search in Explore for all observations with sounds for the cricket genus Cyrtoxipha from the Greater Antilles region. Currently iNat Next defaults to the species view rather than the observation view - it would be nice to have an option to change this. Anyhow, in the species view, let’s say I select Cyrtoxipha gundlachi, an abundant and commonly observed species. This brings me to the species page, from which I can then tap the button to see observations in Explore. Trouble is, all my filters are gone. So I then have to re-filter only for sounds and only from the Greater Antilles, so as to filter out many observations that only have photos or that come from Florida. It’s obviously not the biggest problem, but I think it would be nice to be able to carry over those filters somehow, or to elect not to do so in certain cases. What do others think?
