What is the purpose of taxonomic swaps being anounced at the taxn page but hanging in the air for years? E.g., https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/111641
Most of the time it’s because there’s no consensus found about taxonomy. So taxonomic swaps are created but not commited until situation is clarified.
There’s also swaps not commited because it was left open to make other users being able to give their opinion, but then curator actualy forgot to commit the swap.
Feel free to tag concerned curator, because there’s basicaly no way for us to remind what swap we’ve started but not commited.
