Taxa Edit Rank Should Exist?

So, should there be any rank to edit taxa photos ? I help to ID some bugs… and, sometimes I see that some photos, that might not help much to some laid people, are changed by someone that I don’t know if understands much about the organisms (sometimes an unique observation of an specie alive, and sometimes nymphs, that are difficult to ID) Should there exist any rank to modify this kind of taxa info? Like having a minimum contribution to the community or like here in the forum ?

this already got implemented a few weeks ago, there is now a minimum number of observations a user has to have on iNat (?50) to have access to editing taxon photos

No, but we added some new requirements to make it more difficult for relatively new or unused accounts to edit taxon photos, due to the troll issues we had and because editing taxon photos are big changes - doing so can affect the site for hundreds or thousands of users. I recommend that you keep adding observations.

And to be honest, there are many other things you can do on iNat to help out, such as adding identifications or annotating observations, which will have a much bigger and broader long term positive effect on the community, I recommend focusing on those.
