Taxon merge Magnolia ashei

Hello, I am not sure where to ask about this, but I noticed the following situation:

  1. The taxon Magnolia macrophylla will apparently be split into several taxon, including Magnolia ashei,
  2. The taxon Magnolia ashei seems identical to the taxon Magnolia macrophylla var. ashei.

Is there a way to request the merge of Magnolia ashei with Magnolia macrophylla var. ashei?

I do not know anything about taxonomy nor magnolias, so my apologies if I got it wrong.

Yes. Please flag the former by clicking the curation button on the species page. It’s usually helpful to include any relevant literature, and links to POWO which hopefully has the most updated taxonomy.
