Taxon swap erases common name if more than one location is referred to?

Hello!

A user in Uruguay (gmmv80) recently noticed that the common names of some species were erased after some taxon swaps. For example:

Charadrius collaris's common name, ‘Chorlito de collar,’ is listed for Uruguay and Argentina (https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_names/1173766). However, after the swap, Anarhynchus collaris only has the common name ‘Chorlito de collar’ listed for Argentina (https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_names/3466237). This issue is also related to the swap from the genus Charadrius to Zonibyx.

Do you think the swap is erasing the place if there is more than one?
If this is the case, then this is a major issue as it complete erases the work curators have done manually for very long time.

Thanks.
