Taxonomical decision about Aphrophora salicina and A. pectoralis

Hello! Lately, in iNaturalist status of Aphrophora pectoralis has changed to conspecific with A. salicina. To which study this is based on? They are clearly two different species, which have been studied (Finnboll dNA study). They are showing beautifully in dNA-tree as separate units. Now there is no sense to id A. pectoralis, if it goes forward as salicina. More about the international BOLD data dNA study here https://portal.boldsystems.org/result?query=“Aphrophora%20pectoralis”

To discuss taxon changes, it is better to create a flag for curation on the taxon page – if you believe the change was incorrect, the relevant experts will see the flag and can provide their reasoning or change the taxonomy if your sources are felt to be convincing.
