Trying to create a project, not sur what kind should i choose

Hi everyone, i want to create a project that automatically includes some species that i have observed (one by one) and it puts all the observations of that species in my project. At the same time i want to be able to add some observations of other species done by other people in that project (but i select them manually to add them if the observers are ok for their observations to be i ncluded in other people’s project).

Should i do a “traditional project?” a collection? another kind?

Hi!

If you’d like to have full control over which individual observations are included (whether they’re yours or someone else’s, with their permission), the best option might be to use iNaturalist observation fields. You can create a custom field and manually add it to each observation you want to include. Then, you can build a collection project that automatically gathers only the observations tagged with that specific field. This gives you flexibility and precision from A to Z.

Otherwise, a traditional project could also work, it lets you manually add observations directly, but it’s a bit more rigid and less automated than using a field in a collection project.

Hope that helps a bit!

yes maybe using a traditional project + bulk adding could do the trick, but i’m not sure of how the bulk “sending observations” could work from the observations i’ve made.

i did a collection project mfff it’s pretty messy. and i have difficulties scrolling through it, same with scrolling in my observation species, it oesnt go to the down part, the logo with arrows goes on turning forever… it s stops at a specific specie “Ruta angustifolia, i believe”
