Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):
The problem is that nearby suggestions (using CV) omits common nearby species in the app. I have seen that on a number of occasions. It seems to have gotten worse when the change happened to show nearby suggestions only as the default option. Just yesterday, it was an issue for the following observation of Gilia millefoliata (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/218187316). See screenshots above.
I had the same problem with Castilleja ambigua (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/218192208).
Step 1: Upload picture
Step 2: Choose “What did you see? View suggestions”
Step 3: Leave “View nearby suggestions only” toggled on
