Hi, I searched in the forum and couldn’t find a related topic about this. When I create a new taxon I always see that “featured” option and I have no idea what it is for, I tried looking for it in the curators guide and I didn’t find it either. It seems to be related to the photos of the taxon but beyond that I have no idea.

Huh, I thought it put it in the rotating list of taxon pages at the top of this page: https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa, but when I checked a few, none of them had that checkbox checked.

Yes, show this in the big box at the top of /taxa
Make sure the default photo looks good in large size.

Couldn’t it be that in these examples there is no featured photo selected, so that the taxa info is populated by other criteria?
