When comparing, sorting by visually similar and taxon, it still shows unrelated suggestions

Please fill out the following sections to the best of your ability, it will help us investigate bugs if we have this information at the outset. Screenshots are especially helpful, so please provide those if you can.

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): Website

App version number, if a mobile app issue (shown under Settings):

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) : Chrome, I think. I have Bing.

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages: With any observation, but here is the latest example. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/45074654

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.): When I compare and sort by taxon and observation, it shows observations under the taxon that I sorted by. But if I change it from observations to visually similar, it shows examples of things out of the taxon and not visually similar.

Step 1: View a observation, and compare the id.

Step 2: It should be sorted by a taxon if it is already identified. If not, type in a taxon. It will also be automatically sorted by Observations. All is good.

Step 3: Change it from Observations to Visually Similar. It now shows unrelated suggestion that aren’t visually similar, or under the taxon. Like you’d see under Observations not under a specific taxon.

I’m going to close this thread to focus discussion on the existing thread.
