there is a longstanding issue with using the rank filters to search for hybrids in Explore
see eg

instead of hrank and lrank, userank:
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?rank=hybrid&taxon_id=47851
i think hybrid and species are at the same rank level. so if you try to filter by rank level, you’ll get them both.
