I am participating in the Winter Continental Mycoblitz project. I have my samples ready to be packaged and shipped but I am having a hard time finding regulations for sending biological material over the border (Canada to US). I dont want to incur a fine or have my samples binned. Does anyone have experience with this? Maybe just a couple links where I could search for the information myself. I have been looking and not finding anything concrete about this type of material being shipped internationally.
Are you shipping to a U.S. herbarium or museum? Or somewhere else? A Canadian herbarium or museum that houses fungal specimens would probably be most in the know on regulations for shipping specimens, at least to similar institutions in the U.S.
On the Winter Continental MycoBlitz 2025 there is a link for the Mycota lab: [www.mycoblitz.org]. Click that, and at the bottom of the page you will find a customs declaration form for shipping from Canada. Also on that page is an email address for inquiries: [info@mycota.com]

Thank you so much. I was even just looking at the address and the fine print completely went over my head. Awesome, I appreciate your quick response!
