So this has been nagging me ever so slightly ever since I created my first list, but in any list stats, it shows “0 of x observed”, even when I’ve posted multiple observations of a taxon included in the list. How do I change that, or am I misunderstanding what the statistic is referring to?

you still can get a count of how many species you’ve observed based on a list of taxa. for example, if you have a list https://www.inaturalist.org/lists/4573582-Cool-Critters, then you can get a count of “species” (really, “leaf taxa”) from https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?list_id=4573582&user_id=quercivory&verifiable=any&place=any&view=species. if not all the taxa in your list are a species, this might help find non-leaf taxa, although you’ll have do do your own counting: https://jumear.github.io/stirfry/iNat_observations_taxonomy?user_id=quercivory&list_id=4573582
